Eva has Mamaw wrapped around her finger (maybe Papaw too)

Eva went to lunch with Mamaw and I last week. Took the tour around my workplace and got all the ladies falling in love with her. Everybody called her "Randy's baby" because Randy worked there a couple year's ago.
We went to McDonald's and Eva had a whole hamburger. She was loving it !!

Here we go again. I am determined to spend more time with this blog.
We have a new addition to the family. Randy and Lisa have a little baby, Eva Juanita Pullen, born April 22. She is a real beauty, and yes, she was named after Mom and also Lisa's grandmother.
You know, it has not been that long since we had a baby, but Eva has sure got a hold on the entire family.
Mamaw has been able to babysit a few times 'cause Lisa returned to work and she can't stop talking about her.

Heartache

It's been a while since posting. Sorry about that.

It's been a tough year for everyone with the death of Nancy's Mom, Bertha LaVerne Martin, on June 17th of this year. She was 84 years old, had a good life, and will be missed by all who new her.
As I get older it gets more difficult losing people I love and respect. Prior to my Dad and Mom passing, and now with the death of my mother-in-law, I never fully understood "heartache".
Heartache to me is the feeling you have when you have been busy, working and all that, and you sit down at night, think about Dad or Mom, and you get "the feeling". You miss them, you think of good times, you think of tough times, you think of things you wish you would have said to them, but mostly you heart just hurts.
It's true that it gets better after time passes, but it never leaves me. And I don't want it to.
There is never a day that passes when I do not think of my parents and what affect their lives had on me.
Now I have no doubt that Grandma Martin will affect me the same.

Thanksgiving 2010

Another Thanksgiving. Nancy and I met Don, John, and their families at a 4 mile run in Dublin, Ohio. No, we were not running but babysitting. It was a good turnout and our guys did an awesome job running.
Abby ran the entire 4 miles without stopping. Great job.
Later we went to Don and Katie's for dinner.
A good time had by all - the entire family was there (including Uncle Dave) - and everyone in good health.
"It don't get better than that."

Abigail Pullen in an Austin, Texas snowstorm. It actually would not be considered a storm, but they had fun.
They were in Texas for a couple of years until Don & Katie got tired of our whining and came back to Columbus.
Now we find other things to whine about.
Oliver and Sidney in 2007.
Randy's two kiddos.
