We are nine days from the election and depending on who you listen to and believe, Barack Obama may be on his way to the presidency. Historically there have been other times that people thought it was over, but it wasn't over.
An amazing thing to me - we have learned an important lesson in the last 20 years that we do not want the same party to control the White House and the Congress. We desperately need the checks and balances. There is going to be a backlash like none other when the Democrats screw this up. They have proven many times in the past that they are incapable of making decisions that will be accepted by the American people. The problem is, they don't care what the people think. They do what they want and do not concern themselves with public opinion.
One prediction - within 30-60 days from taking office Obama will blame all his moves in 2009 and most of 2010 on Bush. We will have to endure "Bush has left us much worse off than any of us expected".
Obama will use this excuse to pass an unlimited amount of tax increases regardless of what he says when campaigning. You can forget about "no one making less than $250,000 will have an increase".
I have said many times, "if we made it thru Slick Willie we can make it through anything". I hope Obama doesn't prove me wrong.
